Our memorial standing proud.

Committee Member, Alan Ray's inscription on one of six plaques adorning the base
of the memorial reads: "Gloucester Remembers 1941 - World War II - 1945. The
people of Gloucester proudly dedicate this memorial to our citizens who served and
sacrificed in that most devastating war. They valiantly faced the perils of battle to
restore freedom around the globe."
